    Guys,

I know this sounds featherbrained, but how do you lot determine if your barrel is chrome lined in one case the butt is mounted and without a borescope?

Most of the time you can see the dull silver coating effectually the breech or cage. What kind of weapon?

You shoot a agglomeration of corrosive ammo in the summer humidity and then you let it sit without cleaning information technology for weeks. If the bore is rusty, they information technology is not chrome lined......my Yugo SKS barrel is not chrome lined. :o

I hear the Yugos aren't chrome lined because Yugoslavia doesn't have any major chromium deposits. Just a little useless knowledge for you guys....:D
I accept heard that, but I think it may have also had to do with their 7.62 ammo being less corrosive. I had a case of Yugo ammo once and information technology seemed rather clean compared to other milsurp ammo.

It's a WASR-x/63. The barrel looks shiny later on cleaning, and the accuracy is fairly decent at 100 yds.

this brings up a questions and then...

if i take say... a mosin 91/30 with a chrome lined bore and barrel and shoot corrosive mil surp ammo out of it, does that mean i tin can shoot how e'er much i want with out going through the corrosive ammo cleaning process?

    EDIT

found this after doin a piffling search

    http://world wide web.ak-47.united states of america/WASR-ten.php

it says that the wasr 10'southward ARE chrome lined

I am not an skillful on corrosive ammo merely have read a flake about it. I believe you still have to go through the process. There are parts in the activeness that aren't chrome and demand the cleaning.

Im sure others will exist along presently to elaborate.

if i take say... a mosin 91/xxx with a chrome lined bore and barrel and shoot corrosive mil surp ammo out of it, does that mean i can shoot how always much i desire with out going through the corrosive ammo cleaning process?

They may be as far as I know, but I have never heard of a Mosin Nagant having a chrome lined barrel.
